They warned me. They all warned me. “You will return,” they say.
I just never expected that I would return with the university as a client.
Funny the way it is.
So for the next three days, I will be shooting all those uber-cheesy photos you see in all the advancement materials and admissions stuff and public relations and ads and etc.
Its mostly a formula.
And for a lot of things, you’re given 100% access to make the university look good.
Its what I did for the university as a student before I do this photojournalism travel thing… so its a simple brain switch.
Photos of the president of Haiti one day, then public relations stuff the next.
If anyone ever tells you they don’t like photography/photojournalism because its “the same thing day in and day out”… they’re very obviously not trying hard enough.
Because almost no two gigs are alike.
