Rubbing elbows with sweaty people…

Well, my friends, its that time of year again. That time of year when, once again, a few of us get down on the sidelines and risk life and limb and camera for a few shots of some action on the gridiron.

Gridiron? That never has made sense to me.

But we’re back on the sidelines doing our thing…

And oddly enough, its kinda like deja vu. Its like “I’ve seen this before!” Which, honestly, is extremely true… because this is my 3rd year on the sidelines for my university’s public relations department.

So, I try to refrain from just wailing away with the motordrive at 9 frames per second… so I only come away with 700 frames or so. That’s plenty for me. Its funny, but if ONE of these images are ever used, its actually somewhat of a thing to celebrate.

For the opening game against Missouri Southern we won 17-15 in the last few seconds of the game… even if we have the worst kickers in the conference, we still did alright.

So there’s a concert tonight. Not sure who the acts are, honestly, but we’ll see. The campus activity board has me as their house photographer so… sweet deal. At least I get into a concert and a t-shirt.

We’ll see!

Speaking of “we’ll see”… there’s quite a trip coming up.  I may be away for about a week, but the photos will be pretty ridiculous coming away from that.

And for that, stay tuned…
