Today was an official/unofficial kick-off for the impending journeys coming up.
Most of the group you will know from last year; there are a few new faces though.
Last year, the group to which I was attached traveled through Ethiopia, Oman, Turkey and Paris to study the anthropology of coffee through its originations to its modern, gourmet status.
Now this year, it is Tea’s chance. From the British East India company to the foothills of the Himalayas, six students and four faculty – myself included in the faculty this year as well as my usual duties as a photojournalist – will be chasing tea (literally) around the world.
This is a biggie. Hard to top last year but this year even came as an upgrade on many levels.
You will definitely need to stay tuned…
