Rosebud, Arkansas: population 436. I think every single person living there was at their Homecoming on Friday night.
These photos will never touch a portfolio, it probably cost more to pay for the gas to drive out there than I actually made from the whole thing, but in all honesty, its not about that at all. Its the opportunity to help out. Its the opportunity to help out a local, small-town newspaper and give some people some images that shows what’s good about their community.
My challenge to you is to do it for your town… or in this case, the neighboring town. The photos ran in the paper, I think, but I’ll probably never see them.
Take away lesson: use any talent you might have for good even when you’ll never see ANY return on it.
