Nighttime insanity… (Oct.14, PartB)

I only began to realize how fast time passes when I started photographing repetitious events. I’ve photographed this event 4 times in a row.

I care very little about sports, not following them to any great degree, but things like Midnight Madness and the first football game of the year… these mark time.

Midnight Madness marks the beginning of the basketball season. When the NCAA rules that teams can practice together with coaches, before that its just one-on-one keeping of the shape.

But its always a big production.

Lights, camera, action.

All the players on the women’s and men’s teams are introduced…

But what I think everybody comes out for (besides the on-campus residents being able to stay out past curfew) is the dunking contest.

Its pretty great… no joke.

Photographically speaking, its consistent, repetitive and fun to photograph a little mindlessly, just to have fun with it.

Sometimes its good to be a little mindless. Stay tuned,

PS: This shows up on Oct.15 because… it was after midnight. 😉
