For the significance of a thing…

A number of times before, I have written, at length, the importance of photographs.

This blog has become my photo journal. I suck at writing things down.

From time to time you may see images on here that also suck. In the same way, not everything in one’s “journal” is noteworthy – yet still significant – some images are the same. Things I will never forget.

This image, I will likely never forget. These are not my grandparents. I’m not even related to these people. But this is a significant photograph.

Proud grandparents seeing their granddaughter off as she moves away. And it exemplifies a number of things she remembers: the garage, the SUV with the college stickers on the windows, the garage door damaged from being backed into… her grandfather’s arms up (“I love you this much!”) that he has done since she was a little girl…

…as she pulls away, the driveway lights reflecting off the windshield and the headlights of the car turning down the road ahead.

Whatever the road ahead, there are always people in your past that will love you however far you travel… no matter what.

Stay tuned…

What a sweet picture, and comments. It brought a tear to my eyes. I love it capturing the arms out, and all your thoughts.

You are doing such a good job. I love looking at your photos and reading your comments.

In enjoyed reading and looking at these while on my lunch break from school. I’m on the first day of clinical rotation of pediatric family health.

    Take care,
