You, too, can walk around…

There are moments when I just can’t sit in a room anymore working on a computer, writing in a notebook, being introspective and inverted…

…I must get out and shoot something.

Not to take that statement out of context, I will go out – one lens on the camera – make a few photographs. A few laps around the quad, a walk down and back on Main Street, whatever.

The thing about the street style of photography, its things we all see every day, its just that I really love to capture it.

Its nothing nobody has ever seen, its just something probably nobody photographed yet. The spider web on a lamp post? Who cares to photograph that?

Still think that bronze statue is creepy. Yet, its unavoidable.

Just a walk around the quad.

And all the usual things.

If someone was to see this in 50 years, maybe they would appreciate: “So THAT’s what an average afternoon was like.”

Its nothing completely unusual, its just unusual to see on film.

I’m eager to see my student’s collections of images like this. This was one afternoon, they have all semester to gather things. That could be really really cool. And a true documentation of an entire semester of the normal life here at the University they know so well.

Its all about perspective. What you see, what I see, what anyone sees…

For mine, for what its worth, you’ll have to stay tuned…
