Always around…

“It’s always a good idea to watch the people that aren’t talking.”

Around my university, this couple is as familiar as the trees or swings or the buildings themselves. He spends hours and hours in the library or student center each day. Then she comes and gets him since he – as we say back home – “trouble getting around.”

He was missing for a while after a heart attack and quite a lengthy recovery, but his dislike of being in a nursing home drove him to be able to walk again. He has returned now to his usual routine.

And even after that heart attack, he still preaches at a small local congregation.

Just introducing you to someone as my photo of the day. I’ve been at this school four years and have seen him all the time… and now I know the rest of the story.

I am trying to find a preacher by the name of Duane McCampbell who was going to Harding in the late 50,s. He would come to a little town called “Ola” and preach. He was at our house many Sunday afternoons between morning and evening Church. Is this his picture? I would love to hear from someone.
