Whatever remains behind…

The site of the Happy Olympics.

The rest of the world should look to Munich to see how to develop an aging Olympic park into a viable place for people to use and spend time.

The 2004 Olympic park sat abandoned only a few years after it was the center of the world for a few weeks.

The 1972 Olympic park in Munich…

…it just seemed like people where everywhere!

.

Hanging out, playing with their kids, walking their dog… or sitting with their dog…

Or doing this….

For whatever reason you might do this… it’s there, too!

It is unusual how maleable that they have made this park. Even the famous stadium in configurable to almost anything. At the moment (above) it is set up as a car race track.

The group has really enjoyed Munich, I think. The group is bonding well.

Over a game of 11-per-side fooseball, too.

JD, one of the faculty on the trip, became an athletics professor and university swimming coach because of Mark Spitz’s prowess in the pool during the 1972 Olympics in Munich… in this pool.

Forty years later, JD swims the same laps.

The dreams that you have are never silly or absurd. Pursue them. The pursuit of your own dreams might inspire someone to follow their own…

Stay tuned…
