If you are on pins and needles from yesterday’s post wondering if we found the best cup of hot chocolate on the planet, you will be pleased to know we found some spectacular hot chocolate. Perhaps not necessarily from one person, but more or less the way that Haitian hot chocolate is made would rank it up there with any of the best drinks I’ve ever sampled anywhere in the world.

It is a laborious process.

We eventually had hot chocolate on three separate occasions and it was surprising how similar they were.

The basic recipe includes the raw (100%) cocoa, finely shaved coconut, condensed milk, anise, and cinnamon.

If you’re in Dame Marie and want to stop by the local hot chocolate cafe, Madame Willie will fix you up.
