Unreal sky…

“Soon it got dusk, a grapy dusk, a purple dusk over tangerine groves and long melon fields; the sun the color of pressed grapes, slashed with burgandy red, the fields the color of love and Spanish mysteries.” ~Jack Kerouac, “On The Road”

One of the almighty blessings of life aboard boats is the transitions between light and dark (and vice versa). I’ve written before about atmospheric phenomenon that stop the world in its ruts, and so here is another one.

People who live on the coast see sunsets all the time. Especially in places with barrier islands and such, they get to potentially see the sun rise and set on the water. Still, there are certain rises and falls to Sol that drive people from their homes, televisions off, phones forgotten on the charger… come out, you gotta see this!

Stay tuned,
