To close this chapter…

Sorry, a little artsy, I know. But the Eiffel Tower at night really is kinda cool…

I had lunch with my friends at the Baroque Room at the Musee D’Orsay today. As we were standing to leave and part ways for likely the last time for the summer, Dr.Hopper – the man who has made this trip possible in a lot of ways – responded to our repeated thanks very simply:

“To be a traveler like this you can either be very rich or very lucky… I just happen to be lucky.”

At least for me, it added a bit of closure to this chapter of my trip. He acknowledges what a gift this life and this lifestyle is.

So for the next month, there will be an extraordinary amount of “living” going on. While I have one more day in Paris, it will be largely consisting of tying up loose ends and getting things ready for the next month: I will be out of the US until July 5.

Stay tuned,
-Noah D.
