Eccentric people rule the world…

Okay, maybe not always. Most of life is a balance between those who are eccentric and those who live to keep them in check. Its why we have political parties, Greenpeace and Iran… its the far end of the spectrum to balance out those who just don’t care… or just happen to think the opposite.

But as for Barcelona, sometimes an eccentric can change the face of a city…

And give all the millions of visitors per year something else to go see.

Hey, not all of our travels are “touristy free.” It would be a bummer to go to New York City and not see Central Park, right? (Believe it or not, first time I went to NYC, I didn’t see it…)

Anyways, Barcelona is a pretty interesting place. Easy to get around, easy to lose your wallet in and the Gothic Quarter is just impossible to beat this side of Athens. We had one of the best dinners on our trip thus far and it was barely cooked: the calamari had barely stopped moving before it was on my plate and the tuna was straight from the market.

I mean we are kinda close to the sea…

Oh how I miss sailing…

But, as I was saying, I tend to be slightly eccentric about things sometimes – maybe “passionate” would be more appropriate. But, I tend to think I live moderately. I’m an extreme traveler, lest not forget that, but in life and everything else, I guess my attempt is very Socratic: everything in moderation.

Because you’ll always have the ones on the right and on the left screaming you to their side, but in the end your decision and the way you live your life is your own.

Stay tuned…

PS: If someone finds my wallet and happens to see this after seeing my business card, you can keep the EURO’s, all I want is the international money. They aren’t worth enough to exchange and I really hated to see them lost. It was like losing a really good souvenir. :\  Please email me?
