I know there are scores of people around the world who travel by themselves. And they give a multitude of reasons why they think solo travel is the way to go.
I, on the other hand, kind of enjoy having someone to share the awesomeness of what happens on the road.
In my photojournalism travels and in my personal travels, it just makes so much sense. Humans are corporate creatures. We thrive in community. We make our nests and rejoice in the animate that join us in our weird little world.
Then we have someone to turn to and say: “Did you see that!?”
Did all this really happen?
I guess that’s the question of life, isn’t it.
