“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well.” ~Pierre de Coubertin

Anybody know who Pierre de Coubertin actually is?

Maybe I should wait a second and let you Google it…

…okay, you’re back?

Substitute “life” for “Olympic Games.”

Someone chided me recently: “Life doesn’t owe you happiness.” A statement which I wholeheartedly agree.

But there’s something left out there. A major part.

So, to finish my experience at the Olympics this way, I don’t mind. Of all things I can learn at one place and time, half of an experience is determined by the type of baggage I carry with me.

Life does not owe you happiness… because life is just life: you choose the one you want.

Though my time in London is growing short, I have a few more days abroad.

Stay tuned…
