Wildlife photography…

Of course, I say that a bit tongue-in-cheek… sorry if you were disappointed it wasn’t a grizzly bear or a puma or a rare arctic fox…

There are certain number of things around my University that are the ol’ standards. Things that are expected. You know, every university has them: the University of Georgia has the arch, the AirForce Academy has that really cool spikey cathedral, Notre Dame has their cathedral, and University of Texas has their big tower…

Well, in lieu of any major pieces of architecture (besides the facades of the Heritage and Admin buildings), we have the venerable “Harding Squirrels.”

Yes, my friends, squirrels…

Some as big as a domestic cat and one of the more uniquely colored varieties out there, the Harding squirrels are as close to “wildlife” as we get on the campus proper… even if they are only one degree away from being tame.

But… that gets the squirrel out of the way for my photo of the day… I figured I’d do it now and not have to use it as a crutch later.

The next few days are gonna be pretty “spot news” heavy. Its gonna be kinda fun!

For now, though, I sleep. Its been a while. “The Bison” newspaper is done for the week. Nap before class.

I can’t believe I put a squirrel up on my photo of the day… how embarrassing. Promise I’ll do better in the future… so stay tuned…
