Beyond the things in a rubbish pile…

Real freedom lies in wildness, not in civilization.

2013_01.05-1001314In the back of my parent’s property is a fence. This fence must occasionally be checked for downed limbs and holes made by deer and other animals.

In one corner, there is a rubbish pile. It was there long before we owned the property: most likely decades before.

2013_01.05-1001307“Momma, I need my dress ironed for church!”

2013_01.05-1001309“I got a new pair of shoes today! Look how shiny they are!”

Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between an old trash heap and a stack of old photographs. Admittedly, though, the photographs certainly take up less space.

Stay tuned…
